What to expect? If this is your first-time getting Botox with us, we are so happy to have you! For new patients, we like to start conservatively. For this reason, a 2-week follow-up is important and is scheduled before dismissal. During this follow-up we may add additional units to achieve your desired result without over-dosing the muscles. Our injector’s goal is always minimal movement and softened appearance as opposed to no movement and a heavy feeling in the treated muscles. Multiple sessions may be needed for deep static lines to be completely softened.
Contraindications: Do not use neurotoxins if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any of its ingredients or suffer from any neurological disorders.

- Do not consume alcoholic beverages 24 hours before your treatment to avoid extra bruising
- Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before and after treatment (examples- retinol, tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone)
- Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1 week pre and post injection as they will increase your risk of bruising
- Arrive with a clean face. Please do not wear makeup! We aren’t judging, promise.
- Do not consume alcoholic beverages 24 hours after your treatment to avoid extra bruising
- You may take Acetaminophen if you experience any mild tenderness or discomfort. Do not take Ibuprofen.
- After treatment there will be swelling and redness with possibility of bruising.
- Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before and after treatment (examples- retinol, tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone)
- Avoid extended UV exposure until any redness/swelling has subsided. Apply SPF always.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours to reduce bruising. You may resume other normal activities immediately.
- Do not lay down or bend over for 4 hours after treatment.

Any injection can hurt, but the needles used for Botox injections are very small, so pain is usually minimal.
